Removing multiple hyperlinks from a Spreadsheet is not an easy task, since one has to remove each link individually. When it comes to remove multiple hyperlinks, it seems really irritating to right click on each links and select ‘Remove Hyperlink’ on the context menu and that too as many times as you wants to remove the hyperlinks. So follow these tricky steps provided below to remove multiple hyperlinks easily.
Removing Excel hyperlinks on selected cells
Steps:-
Step 1. Type any text in a blank cell
Step 2. Right-click and select Copy.
Step 3. Now select each cell (Ctrl+Click) having the hyperlink you want to be removed
Step 4. On the Edit menu, select Paste Special. (If you are using 2007, select Paste Special from the Home Menu)
Step 5. Under Operation, click Multiply and then click OK.
Step 6. If you are using Office 2007, you may need to click or change the cell Styles to Normal found at the Styles Group Toolbar.
Removing Multiple hyperlinks in Excel using a macro
Steps:-
Step 1. Start Visual Basic Editor, you may press ALT-F11 to start Visual Basic Editor.
Step 2. Select the workbook (found at the Left side of the editor) by double click on it.
Step 3. Type the following code
Sub RemoveHyperlinks()
ActiveSheet.Hyperlinks.Delete
End Sub
Step 4. Save your work.
Step 5. To run your macro press ALT-F8 or go to the menu by Tools -> Macro -> Macros
Step 6. Select the macro (RemoveHyperlinks) you have made, and click Run Button.
* It will remove all the hyperlinks automatically from the Spreadsheet.
