FeedBurner is a web feed management provider. FeedBurner provides custom RSS feeds and management tools to Bloggers other web based content publishers. FeedBurner is renowned to deliver media rich emails produced from your site/blog’s RSS Feed to blog Subscribers. But if you need to stop FeedBurner from sending digests of old post, then follow the steps below.
1 Stop updating old blog posts with new content, links, images or videos. FeedBurner is not equipped with a filter to distinguish updates from new posts and will often send old posts with recent updates to subscribers.
2 Log in to your FeedBurner account. Click on the feed associated with your Blog/Site from the list.
3 Click on the Publicize tab, and go to Email Subscriptions in the left navigation pane.
4 Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Deactivate button.
To activate the email service again, click the Activate button. FeedBurner will send only new posts from now on.
